Best thing we did in Dubai

Booked online with Viator. So glad we did this as it was the highlight of Dubai.

Was collected on time from our hotel and taken into the desert.

The dune bashing was amazing. The guy was a very skilled driver and made us all laugh as we went side ways, skidding etc. and going down extremely steep dunes, side-on (at an angle) on the ridges etc. He then took some amazing pics of us all on my iPhone which was fantastic. While we did buy one photos from the camp itself, doing a few family shots was very kind of him and saved as a few quid.

The ATV ride was fun as was the camel ride and sand boarding. The camp was also fantastic with so much food we didn’t even eat a fraction of it (felt guilty!) and fun cultural entertainment like a belly dancer and fire show etc.

The only niggle(s) I would have are:

(1) people selling you stuff. Want a photo on your phone with a falcon? You pay. People wandering around trying to sell you stuff. They didn’t pester which was good, but it can be a tad annoying.

(2) the hierarchical nature of the camp itself. We were contacted via WhatsApp beforehand asking did we want to buy traditional dress (we didn’t) and did we want to upgrade to VIP seating. While we didn’t book this in advance, we did on the day so as to give us proper seats (rather than sit on the floor) and dinner table service with fans etc. it was a super hot day so we went for it. WhatsApp messages beforehand said these VIP packages were going fast but we didn’t have a problem on the day itself This cost (from memory) around £50 GBP extra for the four of us and while I’m glad we did opt for the extra, this two-tier system was not mentioned in advance of the booking.

Again, an excellent trip and would wholly recommend. Just mentioning the above to help other travellers and families.

My wife and I had the best time with this Desert Safari Tour wand Bbq dinner. Activities included Quad Bikes which we upgraded to, Dune Bashing, Sand Boarding, Camel Ride and finally the Bbq dinner. Abid was an amazing guide! He picked us up at our hotel on time and was very interactive and helpful to us the entire time. He cared that we had a great time which we definitely did! Thanks again Abid for taking care of us!

This was a great experience with our entire family. Our guide Abbas really made it enjoyable for the kids and so provided many helpful tips about the city. Only watch out is the fist stop where they push scarfs at a very high price. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Did a safari tour with my guide, Abbas who was the most wonderful and helpful. The tour was fun, refreshing and and thoroughly enjoyable. Abbas also helped us to take lots of beautiful photographs. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting to try it out! You will not regret it!

It was the best tour ever i done in my life with mr abbas our guide specially his skills in the dune bashing on 4x4 car the shows was very beautiful and the camel ride was good definitely I recommend the saifco travel and will do again the tour next time if i ever come back to dubai thank you mr abbas for a wonderful day i really enjoyed

It was life time wonder full experience. The car was so comfortable. Pick and drop was on time. The Tour Guide Mr Nawaz Afridi was really helpful. The Owner of Saifco Mr Asim was so courteous to host us with such great gesture. Dune bashing was awsome. Sand boarding was really cool. 10/10 for the Tiger guy the Fire man. The best part was Fire show and his overall performance. Loved it. Only thing about the food, which was not up to the standard. Could have been better taste wise and variety wise. Hope to see that better too next time in shaa Allah.

Not what I was expecting!

Should've known the price was too good to be true. The SUV was in acceptable conditions but they shouldn't cram 7 passengers in it! We were lucky to get picked up first and were able to sit up front but I feel back for the people sitting in the back. Although the company was extremely nice and their customer service was on point, our driver barely spoke English and was a bit of a show off in my opinion. I will give this to him, you could tell he was an experiences driver and we felt comfortable with him driving through the duns cause saw another SUV got stuck and that would've ruined the experience. The Camel riding was devastating and a waste of time to say the least. It was like walking around on a pony in a poorly maintained petting zoo! I cheap tourist attraction they should eliminate from this experience all together. Luckily, the dune driving made up for the experience and the desert was truly beautiful.
